Responsibilities

• Ensure prohibited items do not enter the secure perimeter of the facility and contraband is detected and removed.
• The Security Screening Specialist shall ensure order and security of the facility.
• Direct visitors to enter through the metal detector and ensure clearance.
• Ensure visitors consent to be pat searched and remove shoes, jackets, caps, and items; no hair coverings allowed.
• Incumbent must work a 12-hour day, 7 days a week.
• Greet and register all visitors with professional courtesy; verify need and purpose for visit.
• Register visitors on the visitation log with full name and ID, and clear through metal detectors.
• Perform other duties as assigned within capabilities.
