Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks Transportation Security Officers on full-time or part-time schedules. A high school diploma or GED is required, or a year of security/aviation screening experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National
• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma, GED, HiSET or TASC certificate, OR at least one year of full-time work experience in the security industry, aviation screening, or as an X-ray technician
• Selective Service registration is required
• Must pass a structured interview, drug screening, medical evaluation, and background investigation
• Must be available to work various shifts and overtime, as needed
• Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehending)
• Ability to repeatedly lift and manipulate baggage and containers weighing approximately 50 pounds
