Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Screening Protocols in Gardner, KS. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with employees and guests to maintain a welcoming, orderly environment. The role is full time with day and evening shifts.

Pay is $19.17 per hour, with benefits including health, retirement, and career growth opportunities. Candidates must be 18+, HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and licensing as required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering the technology and media location using established access control and screening processes; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy concerns to site leadership.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas, following established procedures for denied entry or escalated concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and incident details through required reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
