Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Personnel Screening full-time position in Chester, VA. You will monitor access points, screen visitors and deliveries, and help maintain a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service to employees and guests.

Qualifications

Guard card or license preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check as per laws.
Drug screen as permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site access requirements and screening protocols.
Verify credentials, maintain accurate visitor and access records, and communicate access concerns to site personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per site procedures.
Conduct regular/random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter; report unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
