County of Bucks is seeking a part-time Security Screener (PD) to monitor security station equipment and assist visitors at county facilities in Doylestown.

The role requires alertness, the ability to work various shifts, and the use of x-ray and walk-through detectors; employment is per diem with a yearly hour cap.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and maintain physical and mental readiness.

COUNTY OF BUCKS

This is a part time, per diem position. Hours worked may not exceed 1,000 per year.

POSITION SUMMARY**:

Responsible for the monitoring of the security station equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

• Monitors the x-ray machine while packages, briefcases, purses, etc. are checked.If there is a problem, will alert Security Officer.
• Monitors the walk-thru metal detectors as person walks through.
• When necessary, will use handheld wand to further search a person.
• Could be required to monitor a door camera system.
• Assists visitors with questions and directs them to specific offices.
• Reports unusual, questionable or suspicious activities to a supervisor.
• Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by a supervisor.
• As required, performs similar or related duties and a variety of services.
