Job summary

Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) seeks a mid-level Cybersecurity and Applications Engineer to maintain and enhance our IT environment across business applications, cybersecurity, and end-user support.

This role provides technical leadership for implementations, serves as escalation for complex issues, and advances security initiatives including access governance, data hygiene, and risk reduction in a small-team setting.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows endpoints, networking basics, and SaaS.
• Experience administering business apps (e.g., Microsoft 365).
• Knowledge of IAM, endpoint security, least privilege, and data protection.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point for complex technical issues across endpoints, systems, and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor system performance and reliability; proactively address issues.
• Collaborate with IT team to prioritize and execute initiatives.
• Participate in IT Team on‑call rotation duties (approx. 1 week every 2 months).
