Job Description

Purpose of Job: The Security Department Associates are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure environment for Patients, Visitors, Associates, Volunteers, and Medical Staff. They also enhance communication and provide immediate response to facility needs.

Essential Functions:
  • Respond promptly to calls, including assisting and crisis intervention situations.
  • Possess working knowledge of Administrative/Security Department policies and procedures, and problem-solving skills using P&P's for appropriate outcomes.
  • Investigate security-related incidents with detailed Incident Report documentation, demonstrating strong writing, spelling, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • Use discretion and good judgment under pressure and in emergencies.
  • Assist in coordinating the First Response Team during emergencies such as fire, evacuation, and decontamination. Participate actively in drills.
Job Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Criminal Justice background or law enforcement-related fields preferred.
Experience:
  • Sufficient previous experience in security and safety operations.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
Additional Skills:
  • Clear interpersonal communication skills and ability to write accurate Incident Reports.
  • Alignment with SERVICE values and Patient Rights advocacy.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
Other:
  • Valid PA Driver's License with a good driving record.
