Job summary

Ellis Park Racing & Gaming in Henderson, Kentucky, seeks a Security Manager to oversee all security operations, protect property, and ensure a safe environment for employees, patrons, and racing participants.

The role directs backside safety and security, ensures KHRC and company policy compliance, and leads training, incident reporting, and investigations. Flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in security operations.
• Associate’s degree or greater in related field preferred.
• Preferred certifications in First Aid, CPR and Security Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, and direct all security operations for Ellis Park Racing & Gaming, including racing operations, gaming operations, and backside areas.
• Oversee backside safety and security protocols, ensuring compliance with KHRC rules and licensing requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of property incidents and prepare detailed activity reports.
• Supervise, schedule, and evaluate the work of assigned security staff to ensure coverage of the racing facility and stable areas.
• Lead training programs and enforce SOPs and directives including backside procedures.
