Job summary

Carillon Miami Wellness Resort in Miami Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Safety & Security Officer. You will protect guests, residents, employees and property, perform security duties, and support the Security Director and team.

The role requires coordinating trainings, managing patrols, maintaining records, and responding to safety incidents with strong customer service, discretion, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus 2 years security/safety experience in hotel/resort.”
• Must develop and maintain good relationships with staff, vendors, guests, residents and agencies.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assumes duties of the Security Manager in their absence.
• Ensures safety personnel follow Carillon policies and procedures.
• Develops and administers the security staff schedule.
• Conducts onboarding and ongoing training for security officers.
• Oversees Lost & Found input and purging in MS SHIFT.
• Conducts monthly safety trainings and department topics.
• Prepares and forwards security reports to leadership.
• Investigates incidents and interviews guests, residents, or employees as needed.
• Maintain equipment, records, and inventories.
• Handle emergencies and maintain confidentiality.
