Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager, Security Governance, Risk and Compliance to join our Enterprise Security Services organization in the United States. You will lead risk assessments across technology, data, operations, and AI, translating complex findings into actionable insights for leadership to make risk-based decisions.

You will apply data risk management and LoD governance, evaluate controls, and collaborate with senior leaders to strengthen risk posture and controls across the firm.

Qualifications

• Five years of risk and compliance experience in a large professional services environment (physical and cyber security).
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required; relevant industry certifications preferred (CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP).
• Understanding of disparate compliance frameworks and risk management principles; ability to optimize operational risk.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize technical data and convey it to non-technical audiences.
• Understand business objectives and balance them against IT risks.
• Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment; ability to mentor others.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology, data, operations, AI, and cyber risk assessments; translate findings into actionable insights for leadership decisions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in data risk management within the lines of defense with focus on data modeling, strategy, governance and controls.
• Evaluate and recommend controls to mitigate risk and drive a risk-aware culture; ensure alignment with firm policies and control standards.
• Analyze the impact of key risks and evolving operating landscape; define risk tradeoffs and provide leadership with optimization recommendations.
• Develop and maintain risk and control matrices (RCMs) and risk registers; manage end-to-end risk lifecycle.
• Build trust-based relationships with peers and senior leadership; collaborate with LoD partners for audits and risk measures.
• Uphold integrity and professionalism within a respectful work environment.
