GardaWorld Security Services U.S. is seeking a Response Security Shift Supervisor to oversee surveillance operations and supervise a night shift at the Oakland site. You will train officers, perform post checks, schedule coverage, manage access control, and ensure timely incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.

• 6 months in a security leadership position is required
• 2 years of security industry experience is preferred
• Must have BSIS Security License (Guard Card) and 32 hr security trainings

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day supervision of shift officers, training, post checks, scheduling to ensure zero dark posts.
• Manage access control and assist with incidents and reporting.
• Maintain logs, post orders, and coordinate with client and GardaWorld staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and supervise staff on the shift at the site.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalation in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities of Security Supervisor

• Day to supervisor operations such as training new officers, doing post checks, scheduling to make sure the site has zero dark posts,direct, supervise, and support shift officers.
• Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
• Manage access control and be ready to respond to any operational emergency and insure timely response, timely and efficient communications and accurate reporting
• Ensure that operational logs, records and post orders are maintained appropriately.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between GardaWorld, our client, and our assigned staff
• Maintain goal of zero safety incidents, while at the same time managing a robust safety culture and a robust safety program that is appropriate to the operating environments
• Responsible for corrective action and discipline of subordinate officers (up to formal warnings) and recommending and participating in other disciplinary decisions up to and including termination.
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
• Supervise & manage employees on your shift at your assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with our client at the assigned site.
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
• Answer questions in person or by phone
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Officer

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• 6 monthsin a securityleadership positionrequired
• 2 years of security industry experience is preferred
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual acuity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Musthave a current BSIS issued Security License (Guard Card) and additional 32 hr. security trainings. (Additional security trainings may be obtained during the onboarding process)
