Job summary

Nightfall AI is seeking a hands-on security researcher in a DevRel-style role focused on security operations and data security. You’ll test AI models and agents, uncover data exposures, and demonstrate how to protect enterprise data across SaaS and GenAI tools.

You’ll own investigations end-to-end, explain findings publicly, and contribute to open-source tools and practical demos for SOC and data security teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in security engineering, detection, incident response, insider risk or related fields.
• Public voice in security via talks, podcasts, open-source projects or trusted writings.
• Ability to code, work with APIs and debug across systems.
• Understanding of enterprise data movement across SaaS, endpoints and AI tools.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly and defend them under questioning.

Responsibilities

• Run investigations testing models, agents and AI tools against enterprise workflows.
• Explain findings on camera and in writing; create videos, posts and demos for SOC and data security teams.
• Build open-source detections, scanners, labs and utilities used by practitioners.
• Speak at security/engineering conferences and run hands-on workshops.
• Build and participate in podcasts, livestreams and practitioner communities.
• Create realistic demo environments with synthetic data for SEs to use.
