Bitsight is seeking a Security Research Manager in Boston, MA or Raleigh, NC. Lead a multifaceted security research team focused on data collection, processing, and analysis. Drive research into new product capabilities and security telemetry innovations.

The role combines leadership with hands-on prototyping, leveraging AI tools to accelerate projects while mitigating associated risks. Excellent communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in networking and information security.
• Experience leading research initiatives and teams.
• Adept at applying AI tooling to accelerate projects and workflows.
• Proficient in writing and reviewing code for prototypes.
• Proven track record in security data analysis and presenting findings.
• Ability to conduct, interpret, and explain statistical experiments.

Responsibilities

• Establish team priorities for research and development of data collection prototypes and analytics pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to align roadmaps and productionize research.
• Decompose long-term challenges into actionable research plans.
• Recruit, train, and develop a team of security researchers.
• Present research findings to stakeholders with defensible recommendations.
• Develop QA processes for team research and data assets.
• Ideate product features based on latest security trends.
• Identify data partnership opportunities with Data Operations.
