Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, seeks a Security Program Analyst II to provide program support to the Department of State Diplomatic Security in Rosslyn, VA. The role focuses on Protecting Worldwide Protective Services programs and coordinating with DS officials and contractors to ensure compliant security operations.

The SPA II will analyze data, vet contractors, and assist in data integrity for DS/IP/OPO databases, reporting to senior management on security matters.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 1 year of experience, six months specialized in administration of security-related programs.
• Background knowledge of security industry standards and Department of State security regulations, standards, and policies.
• Active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Worldwide Protective Services Division, including Global Canine (K9), DS Equipment Standardization, and Drug Testing contracts.
• Assist Facility Protection Division and Operational Support Division security programs as needed.
• Vet commercial contractors for duty under the Worldwide Protective Services contract and other DS tasks; coordinate with DS elements and vendors on security clearances.
• Analyze resumes and biographical data to ensure candidates meet contractual requirements of high threat and local guard programs.
• Use security data to determine appropriate responses to requests from the Department, Bureau, Post, and vendors.
