As a Security Professional - Unarmed Industrial Patrol in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and responding to situations as they arise, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You’ll Do
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while performing duties.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
