Job Description

We are hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed to conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and exterior) in a hospital environment. Responsibilities include controlling access and egress, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, composing reports, and deterring criminal activity. Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this role, candidates must be able to submit to drug screening and may require a tuberculosis (TB) test and vaccinations.

Location: Arlington, VA

Pay: $19.50/hr

Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• Security Experience - 1+ Years
• Valid Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record
• Previous Customer Service Experience is Preferred
• Uniform and Equipment Provided at NO Cost

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds; document observations of security or safety concerns
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restraining as necessary
• Transport patients and assist with evacuations during emergencies
• Sound alarms or contact authorities in case of fire or unauthorized access
• Monitor entrances/exits, ensure only authorized persons enter, and prevent contraband
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs

Qualifications (Must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (if operating a vehicle)
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in customer service or protective services
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to operate communication equipment
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Attention to detail and ability to evaluate situations quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Military or law enforcement background
• Graduate of a Public Safety Academy or similar experience
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Active military service of 8+ years
