As a Security Officer – Logistics Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a logistics and distribution location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas as an unarmed patrol officer. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the site. You will interact with employees, visitors, and vendors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position offers the opportunity to use your customer service skills and experience with access control or badge systems, as well as your comfort with computers or tablets, to contribute to a secure and welcoming environment. What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
Document incidents and maintain detailed records as required by site policies.
Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as needed.

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
