Job Description

As a Security Professional - Government Patrol - Part Time in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role requires you to remain attentive and approachable while supporting a secure environment for all individuals in the area.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime

Mon 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Tue 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. The working environment and conditions may vary depending on the site.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
