Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer for the Avondale, LA site. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while supporting multiple industries. Must have TWIC or be able to obtain; open availability; and be 18+ with strong communication and teamwork.

Training includes phone and in-person interviews. We offer flexible shifts, weekly pay, and a pathway to growth within a major security services provider.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; crime histories considered per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console monitors; effective communication with the public.
• Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for unusual conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police/fire in emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and manage access control.
• Monitor entrances and exits; verify authorized personnel.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft; ensure compliant removal of property.
• Investigate incidents; maintain written logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.

Job Description

LOCATION: Avondale, LA

SITE: Loading Dock

PAY: $15.00/ hour / pays weekly

SCHEDULE: 8 to 12 hr shifts

Must be able to work any shift, any time including weekends

Job Duties:

• Sign in and out contractors
• Check TWIC cards
• Badging and Access control

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have TWIC card, no receipts. TWIC must be in hand
• Open availability to work as needed
• 21 years of age or older
• Able to patrol all entryways and exits
• Able to work outdoors in the elements

The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• No prior experience required
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)

• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
