Position Summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The officer will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. Flexibility meets opportunity: use our exclusive shift‑pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

Location: Greenville, SC

Employment Type: Part Time

Starting Base Pay: $15.00 per hour

Workdays Available: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Driver’s License Requirement: Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.

Additional Requirements: Must have strong customer service skills and be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.

Qualifications (Must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Driver’s License and driving record as described above.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Minimum age 18 years (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio, telephone equipment, and console monitors.
• Professional and cordial communication with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to assess situations, identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Conflict mediation skills.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Multiple language proficiency (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic).
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
