Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution Screener in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive atmosphere by working collaboratively with your team and upholding the values of reliability, agility, and integrity. Your presence and professionalism help create a secure and welcoming environment for everyone at the location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

DayTime

Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Report and document any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
