Job Description

As a Security Professional - Aero Frontline in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate: $22.30 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk, verifying identification and access credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of visitor activity, incidents, and other relevant information as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to support emergency response activities.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information related to the location's procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
