Job Description

As a Security Professional - Access Control in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the facility, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive workplace culture by acting with integrity, collaborating with your team, and adapting to the needs of a dynamic environment. Your presence and professionalism help support a reliable and people-first atmosphere.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or hazards observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents to support a coordinated response.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security experience is required.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
