Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some security experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English to meet reporting requirements involved in the performance of this job position.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance per facility dress code.
• Wears uniform at all times.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions safely, with or without accommodation.
• Must satisfy all licensing and certification requirements applicable to this job position.
• Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls on the facility switchboard professionally and courteously.
• Observe and enforce the security policies and procedures outlined in the facility's security manual.
• Secure all areas per facility policy to ensure the security of residents, staff and facility property.
• Complete per shift and provide a complete verbal report to oncoming security personnel.
• Complete incident reports for any unusual events during shift.
• Submit copies of incident reports to the Director of Facility Services and the Administrator.

Job description

Job Objective

Responsible for securing the facility during evenings, nights and on weekends. Also completes work orders requiring non-technical skills as directed and in accordance with, facility's policies, procedures and standards, as well as with sanitary, infection control and all other requirements of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Schedule

• 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, VARIABLE SCHEDULE
• 1st shift, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift
• PRN or relief status

Job qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some experience in security preferred.
• Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position, with or without accommodation.
• Must maintain neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to dress code of the facility.
