Job summary

JSW Steel Limited in Mingo Junction, OH is seeking a vigilant security guard to patrol the grounds and buildings, deter unauthorized access, monitor cameras, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prefers at least one year of security experience. You will escort released employees, respond to alerts, and participate in the Emergency Response Team while performing routine safety checks, including radiation detector monitoring.

Qualifications

• One year of security experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol grounds and buildings as assigned.
• Review surveillance cameras and monitor employees, contractors, or visitors as needed.
• Establish and review the identification required to enter the site.
• Verify all doors, windows and gates are secure on a rotating schedule.
• Escort released employees off the property as well as any other trespassers.
• Respond to alerts of suspicious activity and coordinate with local authorities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Assist with inbound and outbound Scale House duties.
• Participate as an active member on the Emergency Response Team.
• Perform alcohol and drug screen tests.
• Daily check of the in-bound radiation detector.
• Detain individuals if necessary and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.
