Job summary

Strategic Security Corp. (SSC) seeks a vigilant Unarmed Security Guard in Tacoma, WA to provide a visible security presence across government, corporate, retail, or commercial environments.

You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, monitor surveillance, control access, and promptly report incidents, while upholding SSC’s customer-service ethos. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a state security license, and at least one year of security experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a State Unarmed Security Guard License, if required by state or local law.
• Must pass applicable state licensing tests if operating a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Observe, report, and deter theft, misconduct, and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Control entry and exit points and verify authorized access.
• Identify and address safety hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; notify law enforcement or emergency services as required.
• Assist with basic first aid and emergency notifications.
• Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity.
• Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement when necessary.
