Veriipro in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Database Security Patch Engineer to manage security patches for Sybase and MySQL databases on Linux systems. The role focuses on vulnerability assessment, patch planning, and updates to keep environments secure and compliant.

You will work with Linux admins, security, and application teams to coordinate patch cycles, perform pre-patch health checks, apply fixes with minimal downtime, and validate post-patch stability and connectivity.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in Sybase and MySQL database administration.
• Strong Linux/Unix database administration experience.
• Experience patching security advisories and updates.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, rollback procedures.
• Ability to coordinate patching with multiple teams.

• Assess Sybase and MySQL security vulnerabilities and determine applicable patches and updates.
• Review vendor security advisories, vulnerability reports, and patch documentation.
• Develop and execute database patching plans for Linux-based environments.
