Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Security Operation Specialist I - RMOC position is responsible for maintaining situational awareness, gathering information from internal and external sources, coordinating incidents with security leaders and intelligence analysts, and disseminating information for priority matters. This role interacts with customers, law enforcement, external parties, and employees at all levels of the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support efforts to improve the customer experience.
  2. Initiate incident management under the authority of Corporate Security.
  3. Operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
  4. Conduct real-time surveillance to identify and respond to potential threats.
  5. Assess baselines to detect, deter, and respond to anomalies.
  6. Investigate security threats and deploy mitigation strategies.
  7. Document actions and information in case management systems.
  8. Support security personnel with research and information gathering.
  9. Prepare and distribute security reports as requested by security leaders.
  10. Maintain situational awareness by monitoring internal and external sources.
  11. Support security events by monitoring access control and surveillance systems and investigating alarms and incidents.
  12. Participate in special projects supporting RMOC and Corporate Physical Security.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  1. Self-motivated and proactive in addressing issues.
  2. Ability to learn and operate corporate physical security technology.
  3. Manage multiple priorities effectively under stress and tight deadlines.
  4. Strong research and analytical skills.
  5. Effective information management and documentation skills.
  6. Problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing reports and presenting incident details clearly.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS systems, and open-source search engines.
  10. Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  11. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in stressful situations.

Required Education

Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

3+ years in military, law enforcement, or security operations center roles or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Proficiency in monitoring open sources for events impacting company operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
