The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) seeks a Security Operations Manager 2 to safeguard staff, patients and visitors at the Salem Campus, overseeing OSH Salem Security, Access Control, Patient Movement and Reception Center programs in a 24/7 secured facility.

This full-time, in-office role requires leadership of security teams, policy development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary leadership to improve safety and service quality across the organization.

Security Operations Manager 2

The primary purpose of the Security Operations Manager 2 is to ensure the safety and security of staff, patients and visitors by managing the OSH Salem Security, Access Control, Patient Movement, and Reception Center programs.

This position plans, organizes and manages these functions at the Oregon State Hospital Salem Campus, a 24/7 secured facility with the capacity to serve up to 559 patients.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications

Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience OR Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience in developing staff capabilities and supporting continuous improvement in security and access control teams.
  • Experience communicating effectively with leadership, management, employees, and patients.
  • Experience and demonstrated leadership success in managing security teams to bring about a workplace culture that is respectful, inclusive, equitable, trauma informed and focused on workplace safety.
  • Experience in evaluation of incidents.
Special Qualifications
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

This announcement is for a full-time, permanent, management service Security Operations Manager 2 position based in Salem, Oregon.

The salary listed is the non‑PERS qualifying range.

If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.
