The position plays a pivotal role in driving Everbridge’s risk‑based, intelligence‑driven approach to global security management, ensuring operational resilience and safeguarding clients, personnel, and assets in alignment with Everbridge’s mission: Keeping People Safe and Businesses Running™.

Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Lead and oversee the daily global operations of the Security Operations Department, ensuring seamless delivery of security services including Secure Journey Management (SJM), Security Assistance, Consultancy, and Special Projects.
  • Provide operational oversight and quality assurance for complex, multi‑country and high‑risk assignments, ensuring consistent adherence to Everbridge’s protocols, client standards, and operational excellence.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Global Security Operations, providing leadership continuity and guidance to the team on operational priorities and escalation management.
  • Drive a proactive, intelligence‑led operational culture that integrates real‑time risk data and situational awareness into security decision‑making.
Client and Vendor Management
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for strategic clients, leading operational calls, consultations, and post‑incident reviews.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, service quality, and rapid responsiveness during critical events.
  • Contribute to RFP responses, client reporting, and investigation of service‑related complaints.
  • Oversee vendor management, ensuring global partner compliance with Everbridge’s rigorous due diligence, licensing, and insurance standards.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard new regional vendors in alignment with operational growth and evolving geographic demand.
Risk‑Based Operational Delivery
  • Ensure all operational planning, risk assessment, and delivery align with Everbridge’s intelligence‑led methodology and corporate protection framework.
  • Review and approve high‑value and high‑risk tasking, ensuring proportionate resource deployment and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee 24/7 operational response readiness, including crisis response, incident escalation, and client communication.
  • Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule for security assistance operations.
  • Work closely with the Intelligence and Risk teams to align security operations with live incident alerts, global risk developments, and client exposure.
Project & Program Management
  • Lead the coordination of large‑scale, complex security operations, including multi‑destination travel programs, corporate events, and emergency evacuations.
  • Manage a portfolio of security consultancy projects, such as site risk assessments, protective security programs, and crisis management planning.
  • Oversee operational reporting, analytics, and trend analysis to inform leadership decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Support training and mentoring of Security Operations Managers and Associates in Everbridge systems (SFHC, SFDC), project management, and client service delivery.
Governance, Compliance & Performance
  • Ensure full compliance with internal processes, including financial accuracy (quotations, purchase orders, invoicing), documentation, and Salesforce data integrity.
  • Oversee operational audits, PO reconciliations, and departmental performance metrics to maintain service excellence and profitability.
  • Support continuous improvement of policies, SOPs, and workflows to enhance efficiency, risk control, and scalability.
  • Champion change management across the department, ensuring seamless transitions and staff readiness.
  • Promote Everbridge’s commitment to ethical conduct, data protection, and professional standards in all operational engagements.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience in security operations or critical event management.
  • In‑depth knowledge of corporate security, travel risk management, and crisis response practices.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial management capabilities (budgeting, quotations, vendor invoicing).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, vendors, and senior stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make rapid, risk‑informed decisions.
  • Cultural sensitivity and global awareness in operational contexts.
  • This role may require occasional travel and flexibility in working hours to support global operations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate security operations, crisis management, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing global security projects and operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of travel risk management and secure journey operations.
