Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Security Engineer to monitor access controls and security safeguards within a SOC environment. You will evaluate new technologies, triage alerts, and collaborate with product vendors to address vulnerabilities.

The role focuses on monitoring SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident coordination, requiring strong English skills and relevant CIS/CC credentials. Expect cross-functional interactions with IT and security teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ SOC experience handling triage alerts and threat hunting.
• 1-3 years as an Associate Security Engineer.
• Intermediate knowledge of information security principles.
• Intermediate knowledge of security-related systems and applications.
• Proficient knowledge of network infrastructure.
• Advanced understanding of SIEM technology.
• Fluent English; other European languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Networking, Cyber Security, or related field; ISC2 CC required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor internal and external access controls, security safeguards and associated processes
• Evaluate new technologies and applications, assess vulnerabilities and risks
• Route IS support tickets and documents processes and procedures
• Interact closely and manage relationships with product vendors and service providers
• Monitor antivirus, spam filtering, web content filtering, and peripheral device control systems
• Maintain and modify the vulnerability management program
• Investigate and address security vulnerability disclosures from vendors and third parties
