About the role:
Samsara is looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join our team on the Pacific Coast shift. The role involves collaborating with a global team of engineers to proactively identify and mitigate risks, monitor and respond to security events, assist in security incidents as a responder, and protect Samsara Technologies India Private Limited’s corporate infrastructure and operations.
You will also create and maintain runbooks, assist in creating automated workflows, and aid in process refinement and implementation. You will work with a diverse team of analysts, engineers and key stakeholders on security initiatives across the company. The focus is to bring security expertise in a collaborative, humble and practical manner.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US, except Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Seattle Metro, and Washington, D.C. Availability during Pacific Coast hours, including on call, is required.
Samsara’s compensation philosophy is to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. This includes base salary plus bonus/variable pay and RSU awards for eligible roles. A new hire RSU may be awarded at hire, with additional RSU refresh grants potentially awarded annually. The base salary range for this position is $111,265 — $149,600 USD and may vary based on city, knowledge, skills, and experience.
