The Security Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring security operations for company-owned restaurants, catering production facilities, and corporate locations. This position serves as the central point of coordination for all security-related matters, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, company assets, and facilities. The role includes monitoring access control systems, surveillance cameras, incident reporting, loss prevention initiatives, emergency response coordination, and compliance with company security policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor security operations for restaurants, catering production facilities, and corporate offices.
• Oversee video surveillance systems and investigate suspicious activities or security concerns.
• Monitor facility access control systems and ensure authorized access to company locations.
• Conduct periodic security reviews and identify vulnerabilities or areas for improvement.
• Coordinate responses to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents.
• Receive, document, investigate, and report security incidents.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and prepare reports and audits, communicate findings to leadership.
• Support company initiatives to reduce theft, fraud, vandalism, and inventory shrinkage.
• Monitor potential loss prevention concerns and recommend corrective measures.
• Investigate suspected theft, policy violations, and security breaches.
• Assist management with security investigations and documentation.

Compliance & Policy Enforcement

• Ensure compliance with company security standards, food production facility requirements, and safety protocols.
• Support implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
• Assist with security training and awareness programs for employees and managers.
• Support emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
• Assist in developing evacuation procedures and emergency communication plans.
• Participate in emergency drills and incident response exercises.
• Serve as a resource during security and safety-related emergencies.

Communication & Coordination

• Serve as the primary contact for security-related matters across all company locations.
• Coordinate security communications between restaurants, catering facilities, and corporate leadership.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred not necessary.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of security, law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, or related experience preferred.
• Experience monitoring multiple sites or facilities is highly preferred.
• Experience conducting investigations and preparing incident reports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control technologies.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security monitoring software.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring security systems.
• Ability to travel occasionally to restaurants and catering facility locations.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Primarily based at the Corporate Office.
• Regular interaction with restaurant management, catering operations teams, and corporate leadership.
• May require occasional after-hours, weekends, or holiday availability to address security incidents or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor security operations across multiple sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of access control systems and surveillance equipment to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR, security breaches, or other critical situations.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation of security activities for review and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with Director of security department during investigations or incidents requiring external support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields.
• Knowledge of security systems, access control systems, surveillance technology, and emergency response procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills for report writing, conflict management, and customer service interactions.
• Ability to perform physical security duties including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and operational management tasks.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable; additional training in law enforcement or operational management is a plus.
