Genesis10 is currently seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst for a remote contract position.

Compensation: $30.00-35.00/HR

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, triaging, and responding to security alerts across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and incident response.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from a variety of systems and tools to identify potential security incidents


• Investigate, triage, and escalate security events as needed, following established procedures


• Maintain situational awareness of the threat landscape and help refine alerting thresholds


• Collaborate with other IT and security personnel to mitigate risks and improve security posture


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of investigations, findings, and response actions

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT security role (entry-level candidates with tool familiarity will be considered)


• Familiarity with common attack vectors, malware behaviors, and cybersecurity frameworks


• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools is highly preferred: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, ORDR, Airlock


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work independently during off-hours with minimal supervision
