Job summary

Chenega MIOS is seeking a Security Operations Center Analyst II to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events within a NOSC environment supporting government clients. You will operate across multiple security tools, perform incident handling, and ensure continuity of operations.

The role requires DoD IAT II certification and TS/SCI eligibility, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent with experience), and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• DoD IAT Level II Certification required.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• 2 years relevant experience minimum; higher for substitutions or associates.
• Background and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor devices and apps via dashboards on program networks.
• Manage events and incidents per procedures.
• Perform backup and recovery as needed.
• Analyze network events across program networks.
• Report outages or incidents per guidelines.
• Monitor security events using SIEM toolsets.
• Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents; coordinate containment and recovery.
• Use security/operation analytics tools for log collection and alerting.
• Additional duties as directed by NOSC Lead.
• Provide Mobile Phone support (activating/deactivating SIM cards).
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all identified devices and applications via provided dashboards on program networks
• Perform event and incident management in accordance with established processes and procedures
• Conduct backup and recovery procedures as needed
• Analyze network events within all program networks
• Report outages or incidents following guidelines and procedures
• Responsible for security event monitoring utilizing SIEM toolsets
• Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents, coordinate with other stakeholders forcontaining, eradicating, and recovering from an incident
• Utilize security and operation analytics tools for log collection,analysis, and alerting
• Performadditionaltasks or duties as directed by the NOSC Lead
• Provide Mobile Phone support to include activating and deactivating SIM cards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Associate’s degree with 2 years relevant experience OR
• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent with 4 years relevant experience may substitute.
• 2 years relevant experience.
• DoD IAT Level II Certification is required.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with a variety of security tools such as: FireEye, WireShark, NetWitness, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, F5, tcpdump, Snort, Splunk, EMET, Bit9/Carbon Black, Stealthwatch, Ironport, McAfee ePO, Microsoft Defender, XSOAR, Nessus, Extrahop, Opentext NDR
• 24/7 NOSC environment and understanding how it works while supporting commercial or government clients.
• Cyber threat capabilities and technical capabilities to defend networks and systems.
• Network operating systems, SLOs, and service expertise.
