Job summary

Holland & Knight, a leading law firm, seeks an IT Security Analyst to monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber security threats across the firm’s environments in Tampa, FL or Dallas, TX. The role emphasizes independent task execution, technical investigations, and on-call support to protect critical systems.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanning (Nessus/Qualys/Rapid7), and security controls such as firewalls and endpoint protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Experience with SIEM or other scalable log management solution, including configuration and tuning.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting (Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, etc.).
• Experience monitoring and administering security controls such as firewalls, web filters and anti-virus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events from a wide range of devices.
• Prioritize and complete tasks independently or with a team.
• Perform operations maintenance on security tools and agents.
• Process and correlate technical information for investigations.
• Stay up-to-date with cyber security vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
• Provide on-call support during non-business hours.
• Assist with scanning systems for known vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Analyze and respond to undisclosed software/hardware vulnerabilities.
• Identify risks and help mitigate to an acceptable level.
• Maintain knowledge of vendor products and security technologies.
