Qualifications

• 2–5 years of IT, systems administration, or security operations experience.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments (Hyper‑V preferred).
• Exposure to Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel preferred).
• Basic understanding of security monitoring and incident investigation.
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage operational tasks.
• Demonstrated curiosity and desire to grow within cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Security Operations & Monitoring: Monitor and investigate alerts within Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Triage and escalate security incidents when needed.
• Analyze security logs to identify suspicious activity or misconfigurations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Tune alerts and monitoring to improve signal-to-noise ratio.
• Document investigations and contribute to incident response procedures.
• Deliver security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns.
• Identity & Access Security: Assist with Entra ID Conditional Access policy improvements.
• Monitor identity-related alerts and support privileged access reviews.
• Infrastructure Security & Patching: Maintain patch management framework and track compliance.
• Support system hardening and secure configurations across infrastructure.
• Security Program Support: Develop dashboards and metrics; contribute to ISO 27001 alignment.
