As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members. You will use computer or tablet systems, maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records for a logistics and distribution location.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate gate access for deliveries and pickups, and report irregularities in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
