Job description

VMI is accepting applications for part-time security officers to supplement the VMI Police. Work hours will be flexible; mostly evenings and nights, approximately 20-30 hours per week. Duties will include:

1. Patrolling VMI facilities
2. Checking identification cards
3. Responding to reports of unauthorized or disruptive individuals

The security officers will work closely with the VMI Police Officers. These are part-time hourly positions. A criminal background check is required for finalists.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED preferred; good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Law enforcement experience preferred.
