Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers in the Louisville, KY area. All shifts are available. These positions offer a starting pay rate of $20/hr, paid weekly.

Requirements:

  • Previous Security Officer experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to complete drug screening and background checks.
  • Flexibility and team-oriented attitude.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work all shifts, including mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel to different sites in Louisville for training and shifts.

A Security Officer performs duties as specified by Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). They must familiarize themselves thoroughly with these directives to act swiftly and efficiently.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer role is vital for operational and financial success. It involves providing trained support by filling shifts that open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacations, or other reasons. This helps Sunstates ensure continuous service to clients while maintaining employee health and work-life balance.

Scheduling Expectations

Flex Officers are scheduled differently from fixed-post employees:

  • Training occurs at various posts or facilities based on operational needs. While some posts may be held for several weeks, assignments are not permanent.
  • Your schedule will vary based on operational needs.
  • Shifts are assigned or offered as they become available due to staffing requirements.
  • Some shifts are scheduled in advance; others may be called on short notice to fill staffing gaps.
  • You are expected to work scheduled shifts within your stated availability. If unavailable for a scheduled shift, notify your supervisor in advance.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts you are called for. Refusing more than 20% of assigned shifts may affect your employment status.

Additional Benefits: 401K/403b Plan

This position reports to the Manager and is classified as As Needed with shifts available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends and flexible scheduling.
