Job summary

Marksman Security Corporation is hiring immediately for Flex Security (Part Time) Officers in Wentzville / Troy, MO. The role offers $18.50 per hour and requires availability mornings, evenings, and holidays if needed.

Previous security or customer service experience is preferred, with a focus on reliability and physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods. Officers may be eligible for a quarterly perfect attendance bonus of $100.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience or security experience.
• Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• Occasional physical activity (crawling, climbing stairs, walking) for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet residents and guests promptly and courteously.
• Manage guest/visitor access and log visitors.
• Verify credentials of incoming/outgoing individuals and vehicles.
• Document and maintain visitor logs and notify residents of arrivals.
• Assist in protecting people and property while enforcing policies.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and assist in preventing vandalism or theft.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms; patrol interior/exterior perimeters.
• Warn violators of infractions and respond to emergencies by contacting first responders.
• Identify and report safety or security concerns promptly.
• Ensure timely submission of required documentation (reports).
• Enforce all rules and regulations; perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must Be Available Between Mornings AND Evenings and holidays, if needed.

Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.

Previous experience in security OR customer service fields is preferred.

Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

Security Officer Positions:

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management
