Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer X Ray Screening in Wailuku, HI. You will serve and safeguard clients across government and other sectors, screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and supporting daily court operations with professional customer service.

As the Screener at a government district court location, you will maintain a secure, welcoming environment, respond to incidents or alarms calmly,

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the facility using screening equipment and procedures.
• Verify access credentials and direct visitors to entry points, courtrooms, and public service areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner following protocols.
• Maintain logs and report security concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific, security-related screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering the facility using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, helping to identify prohibited or unauthorized items.
• Verify access credentials as applicable and direct visitors to appropriate entry points, courtrooms, and public service areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and promptly report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
