Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Security Screening in Kailua, HI. You will monitor access, screen individuals and items, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment at a food and beverage location.

The position requires 18+ years for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), a high school diploma or equivalent, and background checks. Pay rate is $18.12 per hour with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel following site procedures.
• Screen individuals and items entering the location according to access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry points and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and following procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas and perimeters.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a food and beverage location.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering the location in accordance with established access‑control procedures.
• Monitor entry points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify potential concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
