Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer at our Distribution Center in Van Buren Township, MI. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21 (armed) years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, controlled manner.
• Perform regular unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, and perimeters.
• Monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and report suspicious activity.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports per site policies.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support security-related operations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and security-related concerns.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
