Securitas Security is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time role in Ellendale, ND. The position offers wage of $25.00 per hour and multiple shift options, including 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, and flexible positions across several sites.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and emergency response in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include access control, patrols, incident reporting, and collaboration with client staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months.
• Standard computer/technology skills.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control at security entrances/exits.

• Provide detailed written reports and document interactions.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
