Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Weekend Inspections in Tempe, AZ. This part-time role offers a $21/hour pay rate and a schedule including Saturdays and Sundays.

You will provide customer service, patrol assigned areas, monitor access and report incidents, while maintaining a professional presence and assisting visitors and staff. Training and growth opportunities are available within Allied Universal's supportive team.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screening will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor sensitive areas across the site.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate incident reports and shift communications maintaining professionalism.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
