Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Bluffton, IN. You will maintain site security, perform patrols, manage access controls, and respond to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

The role offers fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Minimum age 18 (21 for armed roles), HS diploma, and background/drug screenings apply.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Bluffton, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.80 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, associates, and visitors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and policy violations.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and security‑related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with access control, incident documentation, and coordination with store management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
