Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Badge Issuance in Fort Wayne, IN. This role offers reliable, fixed hours with optional extra shifts through our Claim-A-Shift program to boost earnings.

The pay rate is $17.75 per hour, with a 6-month anchor commitment at a designated site and opportunities to scale up to a 40-hour schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, verify access, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Support a professional workplace by clear communication with site personnel.

Job Schedule

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology‑focused location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor access as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and responding to requests for security‑related assistance.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
