Allied Universal in Uniondale, NY is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Warehouse Area Patrol. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with a six-month commitment, and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will screen personnel and packages, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors at a logistics distribution site. Pay rate is $17.97 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Warehouse Area Patrol in Uniondale, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.97 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related screening activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site policies, using approved screening equipment and procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, loading areas, and parking locations, and report observed hazards or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
