Allied Universal, a leader in security and facility services, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a Visitor Welcome Desk in Arlington, VA. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, control access, and maintain secure, welcoming reception operations at a technology-focused site.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with opportunities to engage in flexible shift options through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A background check and drug screening are standard employment conditions.

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity or equipment issues per site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, provide directions and site information, and support a professional, welcoming reception environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, or equipment issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, provide directions and general site information, and support a professional, welcoming reception environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
